As long as he doesn\u2019t meet the victim face to\u00a0face, he\u2019ll never know who it was and now that he has details of the man\u2019s private life, eats\u00a0from his plates and sleeps in his bed, stands in her father\u2019s place on the balcony and looks\u00a0through his eyes at the sea, he can take upon himself responsibility for what he has done,\u00a0admit to the crime but not to the guilt \u2013 as they say in courts of law \u2013 and ask himself, what\u00a0fault is it of his that he was there on reserve duty and fired that shot and then met Nadia\u00a0and then they moved into her father\u2019s house and had a child and if God cooked up this\u00a0mess, let him take responsibility for the sad wife, whose father he had murdered.<br \/>\nHe went in. Hagar was awake, looking at him with shiny eyes and a naughty smile.
